The reality of KRUMP. Many characters and clowns are trying to take the credit away from the true source and founders of KRUMP dancing. The ‘Cartoonz family’, the same dancers from the Outkast and Missy Elliot videos who got paid $100 for their work, are now are being stripped of what's theirs, what they brought into the world. This is their exclusive story, as they take the viewer on a journey of underground street dancing from the Break Dancing era to the new evolution of Krump that is now taking over in this exciting, unscripted and unchoreographed movie. Since Krumpness is catching a life of its own, many are trying to claim that they know Krump, but really do not, as seen on MTV, when Tommy the clown falsely stated that his clowning is the same as Krumping.
This is not a pity tale with the old song "I dance because my alternatives are drugs and gang violence" but rather "I dance because I am the best at it and you are invited to prove me wrong". In south central, all the school children have been buying rehearsal tapes of the ‘Cartoonz Family’ to learn new moves because the ‘Cartoonz Family’ are famous on the streets and within their underground circle and known to be the best Krump dancers out there. The movie starts with a live battle but takes pauses to tell their story and introduce the characters and their lives (from Krump attire, nicknames, different dance styles to their other talents etc.) in a raw and unscripted manner until the battle comes to its intense peak at the end of the movie. The Original soundtrack is a high octane combination of Hip-Hop and Rock songs, giving the scenes all the more flavor.
